Terms of Service

Last updated 24 July 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and PCP COLLECTION LLC, a limited liability company registered in New Mexico, United States (“we”, “us”), for the use of Captee at captee.ai and app.captee.ai. By creating an account you accept them.

1. What Captee does

Captee takes a video you upload, transcribes it, and produces a finished vertical video with animated captions — optionally adding a written hook, removing silences and filler, and re-framing the shot. You download the result and do what you like with it.

2. Your account

You need an account to use Captee. You must be at least 18 to hold a paid subscription (16 for a free account), give accurate information, and keep access to your account secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account. One account is for one person or business; do not share credentials.

3. Your content stays yours

You own everything you upload and everything Captee produces from it. We claim no ownership of your footage, transcripts, styles or finished videos, and we place no restriction on how you use them — commercially or otherwise.

You grant us only the licence we need to run the service: to store, process, transcribe and render your files so we can give you the result. That licence ends when you delete the content or your account. We do not use your content to train AI models.

You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload, including any rights in the music, footage or voices it contains.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use Captee to create or process content that is unlawful; that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy; that depicts sexual content involving minors; that harasses or incites violence against people; or that impersonates a real person in a way designed to deceive. You may not resell access to the service, attempt to circumvent plan limits, or interfere with the infrastructure.

If you break these rules we may suspend or close your account.

5. Plans, billing and the founding rate

  • Free — a limited number of exports, which carry a small watermark. No card required.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. Prices are shown on our pricing page and exclude any tax that applies where you live.
  • The founding rate — the first 100 members to subscribe receive 50% off, and that rate continues for as long as the subscription stays active without interruption. If the subscription is cancelled, the founding rate does not carry over to a new one.
  • Cancelling takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial periods, except where required by law (see section 6).
  • Plan limits — each plan includes a set number of videos per calendar month, along with limits on the length of footage you upload and the videos you export. Re-exporting a project you have already counted does not count again, and a failed render never counts.
  • We may change our prices. Existing subscribers will be given at least 30 days' notice by email, and the founding rate is exempt from increases.

6. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU and UK)

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from your subscription within 14 days of purchase. Because Captee is digital content delivered immediately, by starting to use the service within that period you ask us to begin at once and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. To withdraw, email hello@captee.ai.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep Captee running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service; if we discontinue something significant, we will give you reasonable notice.

8. Warranties and liability

Captee is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost revenue, or lost or corrupted content. Our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Keep your own copies. Captee is a production tool, not a backup service — raw uploads are deleted automatically after 30 days.

Any claim relating to the service must be brought within one year of the event giving rise to it, except where the law gives you longer.

9. Copyright complaints

We respect copyright and we expect our users to. If you believe material processed through Captee infringes a copyright you own or control, send a notice to hello@captee.ai with the subject line “DMCA Notice”, including:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the work you say has been infringed;
  • identification of the material in question and enough detail for us to find it;
  • your name, address, telephone number and email address;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law; and
  • a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.

We will investigate and, where appropriate, remove the material and may close the account responsible. If you believe material was removed in error you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Our designated agent for copyright notices is PCP COLLECTION LLC, New Mexico, United States, reachable at the address above.

10. Your responsibility for what you upload

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PCP COLLECTION LLC and its members, officers and contractors against any claim, demand, loss, liability or reasonable legal cost arising from: content you upload or produce with Captee; your breach of these terms; your infringement of anyone's intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights; or your unlawful use of the service.

We may take over the defence of any such claim at our own expense, and you agree to co-operate with us if we do. This section survives the ending of your account.

11. Resolving disputes

If something goes wrong, email hello@captee.ai first — most problems are solved in a message or two, and we ask that you give us 30 days to put things right before taking formal steps.

If a dispute cannot be resolved that way, it will be settled in the courts of the State of New Mexico, as set out in section 14. If you are a consumer, nothing in this section takes away your right to bring proceedings in the country where you live, or to use any dispute-resolution scheme available to you there — including the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

12. Getting your work out

Your projects and rendered videos stay available for download while your account is open. If you close your account, or we close it, you may ask us within 30 days for a copy of your remaining content and we will provide it in a standard format. After 60 days from closure, content that has not been retrieved is permanently deleted. Raw uploaded footage is always deleted automatically 30 days after upload, whether your account is open or not.

13. Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time from within the app or by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where payment fails and is not resolved.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use Captee after a change takes effect means you accept it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, and the courts of New Mexico have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring proceedings there.

16. Events outside our control

We are not liable for failure or delay caused by something beyond our reasonable control — including outages at our hosting, storage, payment or AI providers, internet failures, or acts of government. If such an event continues for more than 90 days, either of us may end the agreement without penalty.

17. General

  • Assignment — you may not transfer this agreement without our written consent. We may transfer it to a successor if the business is sold, and we may use sub-contractors and service providers to operate Captee.
  • Severability — if any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
  • No waiver — if we do not enforce something immediately, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
  • Entire agreement — these terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Captee.
  • Notices — email is a valid way for either of us to give notice, and exchanges by email or through the app count as written proof.
